Sarina earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2011, and has been working full time as a physical therapist since then. She comes from an athletic background, and played sports throughout high school as well as softball in college. In 2012 she was introduced to Crossfit, and through that found weightlifting. Weightlifting is a sport of strength and power, but is also very technique and skill driven, which makes it all the more appealing. She has been lifting competitively since 2014, and has had the privilege of training with several national level coaches and lifters including Donny Shankle. In 2015 she became a USAW certified Sports Performance Coach, which has afforded her more opportunities to share her knowledge and love of weightlifting with others. Sarina has a passion for helping people and believes that exercise, when performed correctly and safely, is a means for both healthy living and rehabilitation from injury.
Mike Pozzuoli ~ CrossFit Trainer, gymnastics guru
WM Strength and Conditioning
Before Crossfit I was the guy doing bicep curls and leg presses at my local globo gym. A friend of mine suggested taking a CrossFit class. At first I would take a class or two a week. I soon became hooked realizing what I did at the gym before didn’t hold a candle to what CrossFit packed into an hour for me. After about a year I began to take my training seriously, spending 6-7 days a week in the box. Here I learned about having proper form, and really the fundamentals to CrossFit. As time went on I began to help other members of the box during class, thus resulting in me getting my Level 1 certificate. The thing I enjoy most about CrossFit is that for one hour of the day I’m expected to perform my best and push myself and others to the limit. Whether it is a members first time doing an un-assisted pull up, getting a double under or pr’ing that lift, moments like that are the most rewarding parts of the day.
